And certainly gratitude is in order....

Three articles are somewhat inspired of some of my articles on my SCHROEDER'S SPECULATIONS page, especially my nearly-complete "biography" of Superman....

One is "Invasive Techniques".

One is "Krypton Decrypted".

And one is "Trek to Legion"---that last is rather interesting, trying to incorporate the Lensmen saga into a unified future, among others. I don't agree with many of their conclusions in that, especially their speculation about Hal Jordan...

The other two? Ummmm....in a lot of ways, confused and confusing creating fiction with giving theories to explain already established fictional places. I especially think the idea of Hugo Danner also being an alien, adopted by humans, but not Clark Kent---also from an exploded planet---is contrary to Occam's Razor.

Still...interesting and flattering, in a way.

Treated, and only mildly Tricked, and the Trick seems to rebound on themselves. But it will be the readers who will choose between the theories.

No trick or treaters tonight....well, two, both tots being held by their proud parents. Some people can't wait....

We'll have lots of candy to scarf down....

Our church had a "Trunk or Treat" this Wednesday, where kids could get candy. We even had a pastor from another church stop and tell us to stop this sort of thing and demand to speak to the elders---I guess he thought we were encouraging Satanic demon worship. At one point he said, "What would Jesus do?"

One of our members said,

"He'd probably have a piece of candy and play with the kids."

It's a full life and a merry one...

It was a Treat, but our visitor thought it a Trick....

Evidently one of the worst nights for drunk driving is Halloween. Adults attending Halloween parties, getting smashed, drunk while driving...

While little kids are walking...

It's also one of the biggest nights for pizza delivery, to various Halloween parties.

Walking door to door is passe. It's parties, or malls these days.

Loss of innocence, perhaps? Or just inevitable given kids being kidnapped and anxious parents wondering about it...

Hey, parties are nice anyway...
